About Me

I was born in Hawaii and moved to Arizona in my teens. My wife, Julie, and I reside in Glendale, Az. I love the sport of archery and have moved from being a competitor to a coach. I shot as a Professional archer on the ASA Pro tour for several years before a back injury and 2 surgeries sidelined me for a year. You have a lot of time to contemplate life when you are flat on your back and recovering for a year. It took some time, but I got back to shooting and tried to travel and compete on the ASA Tour again. Unfortunately, my injury did not let me compete at the level I wanted, so it became a hobby. I had always enjoyed helping other archers along the way, so coaching was a natural move for me.

Coaching is more than just putting a bow in an archer’s hand. It’s the complete package. Teaching the correct form for each archer, making sure all the equipment is performing properly, giving them tools to be mentally and physically strong. Sharing the love of the sport. Pushing and encouraging them to reach their goals, all in a fun-filled atmosphere.”
